Monthly Speakers/Socials

Monthly Speakers and Socials is a free event offered to the 55+ community during the months of November-February. This event is held at the Cultural Center, located at 19470 Oak Road West, beginning at 11 a.m. Following the speaker's presentation, guest are invited to join us for a social and a delicious meal in the Cultural Center Gymnasium at 12 p.m. Click here for more information on Monthly Speakers/Socials.
Safe Sitter Classes
February 8-10, 2021
Safe Sitter is a program that provides CPR/First Aid and child care training to teach young teens how to be better, safer babysitters. Children in grades 6th-8th are encouraged to register to take this class taught by our trained staff. Participants will receive a Safe Sitter completion card and a CPR Certification. Cost for this class is $30 for members, $40 for non-members. Registration is open and can be made online here. Space is limited. Click here for more information.

Join the Gulf Shores Recreation Department for BINGO every Wednesday during the months of November -February at 10 a.m. at the Cultural Center, located at 19470 Oak Road West. Christmas Break Camp

The City of Gulf Shores hosts an annual Christmas Break Camp each year for local students. Children in grades K-5 are invited to come spend the week playing games and participating in indoor/outdoor activities. Click here for more information on Christmas Break Camp.
Daddy Daughter Dance

The City of Gulf Shores hosts two nights of the Daddy Daughter Dance at the Erie H. Meyer Civic Center, located at 1930 West 2nd Street, during January. The Gulf Shores Recreation Department, Gulf Shores Museum and Thomas B. Norton Public Library is teaming up to bring you the 2020 Author Series on Tuesdays at 11 a.m. at the Cultural Center, located at 19470 Oak Road West. Spring Break Camp

Spring Break Camp is open to children in grades K-5 and held at the Cultural Center, located at 19470 Oak Road West, Building D. SPARC Summer Camp

SPARC Summer Camp is designed for Strengthening Potential through Arts, Recreation and Culture by providing youth a safe and supportive environment; fostering education, personal growth, character development and overall resiliency. Camping 101

You and your friends and family are invited to sleep under the stars at our beautiful waterfront lagoon park! Camping 101 is hosted at Mo's Landing, located at 18068 Fort Morgan Road, and includes overnight camping, fire pits (great for hot dogs and s'mores!) and an outdoor movie on the big screen. Purely Paddle is a fun, family-friendly guided kayak adventure along with yoga on the lawn.
