Mom's Time Out provides the youth in our community with a safe and supportive environment to foster education, personal growth, development and resiliency. Calling all Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tiger fans! The Gulf Shores Recreation Department is excited to announce the Bike to the Bowl Challenge, a free 8-week fitness program that will challenge you to bike to the Iron Bowl! Participants will bike the distance of Gulf Shores to Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, which is approximately 240 miles, in the span of 8 weeks! Click here for more information.

The Gulf Shores Recreation Department is offering a Women's Self Defense series for women ages 18 and up. The Self Defense series will consist of 3 classes on October 2, November 6 and December 4. Monthly Speakers and Socials is a free event offered to the 55+ community during the months of November-February. SPARC Summer Camp is designed for Strengthening Potential through Arts, Recreation and Culture by providing youth a safe and supportive environment; fostering education, personal growth, character development and overall resiliency. WalkFit 5K is a training series, geared for absolute beginners, that will get you from the couch to walking a 5K in only 6 weeks! Participants will meet every Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. for 6 six weeks, beginning on September 9th. Our goal is to have you ready for the target race, the Haunted Hustle 5K Walk on October 18. Click here for more information.

You and your friends and family are invited to sleep under the stars at our beautiful waterfront lagoon park! Camping 101 is hosted at Mo's Landing, located at 18068 Fort Morgan Road, and includes overnight camping, fire pits (great for hot dogs and s'mores!) and an outdoor movie on the big screen.
