Junior Lifeguard Program

GSBR JUNIOR GUARDS (1)Each year our Beach Rescue team leads a Junior Lifeguard program for students ages 10 to 15. In this program, students learn open water lifeguard skills such as CPR, First Aid, water rescue techniques, beach safety, and more.

This year we are offering 4 sessions: 

  • Session 1: June 2-5 - This session is FULL
  • Session 2: June 9-12 - This session is FULL
  • Session 3: June 23-26 - This session is FULL
  • Session 4: July 14-17 - This session is FULL

All sessions are currently full. If you would like to be put on the waitlist, please contact Beach Safety Lieutenant, Adam Foley, at afoley@gulfshoresAL.gov or 251-923-9662. 

The cost to participate is $75 and includes a t-shirt. Classtimes will be Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. We only allow children to participate in one session each summer.
