Originally from Texas, Jennifer Guthrie broadened her horizons at Elon University before moving to New York City, where she met her husband. After a few visits to Gulf Shores, it was clear to her and her family that this was home.
Jennifer is passionate about preserving Gulf Shores’ small-town charm, natural beauty, and strong sense of community. She believes that local government plays a crucial role in daily life and views her position as a trusted voice for residents—addressing current needs while shaping a vibrant future.
Her priorities include supporting local businesses, enhancing walkability and bikeability, protecting Little Lagoon and other natural resources, and strengthening communication with residents. Jennifer is enthusiastic about projects such as new school facilities, Waterway Village, and the expansion of trail networks throughout the city.
