The City of Gulf Shores is proud to announce the 2025 recipients of its inaugural Nonprofit Grants Program, a new initiative designed to support local nonprofit organizations that directly serve Gulf Shores residents. This program reflects the City’s commitment to fostering a strong, healthy, and connected community by investing in organizations that provide critical services and programs.
“This program was established to formally recognize and invest in the vital work our local nonprofits are doing,” said Jon Walker, City Administrator for the City of Gulf Shores. “These organizations are addressing some of our community’s most pressing needs—from food insecurity and medical needs to education and the arts—and we’re proud to support their efforts.”
Each selected organization will receive a $2,000 grant to support a specific project or program that benefits Gulf Shores residents. The recipients of the 2025 Fall Grant Cycle are:
- Christian Service Center – Emergency Aid Program
Funding will support emergency assistance for food, rent, utilities, medical needs, and transportation for Gulf Shores residents in crisis. - Feeding the Gulf Coast – Mobile Pantry Program
Grant funds will help deliver over 8,000 meals to food-insecure families in Gulf Shores through mobile food distributions. - Gulf Coast Arts Alliance – Art & Music Classes
Funding will provide supplies for beginner art and music classes offered to the community at the GCAA Learning Center. - Sea Glass Initiative – Access in Motion Transportation Initiative
This grant will support transportation services for unhoused and underserved residents, including emergency transport, car repairs, and access to medical and employment services. - South Baldwin Literacy Council – Sustaining Literacy: Operational Support
