We're closing out March with steady progress on the Waterway Village Pedestrian Bridge. Here is the latest update on construction activities for the week of March 27, 2026:

𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐰𝐚𝐲
Crews continued work on Waterway East Blvd this week, focusing on brick paver and sod construction. Looking toward next week, the initial binder layers of asphalt for East 2nd Street and the surrounding parking areas are scheduled to be laid on Monday, March 30.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
The north side of the project is taking shape! The 1st vertical section of the North bridge columns is now complete. The 2nd vertical section is tentatively scheduled to be poured on Wednesday, April 1.

𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬
Vertical progress continues on the elevator towers.
• North Tower: The second pour for the vertical walls is finished. The 3rd pour is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 28, or Monday, March 30.
• South Tower: Work is ongoing on the internal slabs and various structural components.

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬
East 2nd Street remains open to normal traffic operations. For those traveling north of the ICW, please remember that access is limited to local traffic only while Waterway East Blvd construction continues.

𝐓𝐰𝐨-𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐀𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝
The Roadway and Concrete subcontractors expect to complete the current phase of Waterway East Blvd construction by next week. Over the next 4-6 weeks, the focus will remain heavily on the North Bridge Columns and North Elevator Tower walls.

As a reminder, the median curb on Waterway East Blvd and infrastructure near 25th Ave will be completed after the bridge structure is set in place.
