If your appearance date has not passed, you may contact the Gulf Shores Municipal Court at 251-968-6780. If you have an attorney, your attorney can file a motion requesting a continuance on your case.

No, the clerk must witness your signature on the Waiver of Rights on the back of the ticket.

In certain cases (i.e. minor traffic citations, etc.) the court will allow you to enter a plea before a magistrate and pay your fines and court cost. View the instructions to the defendant. Driving Under the Influence, reckless driving, and misdemeanor and ordinance violations are mandatory court appearances.

Full payment for all violation charges and late fees must be made as follows:

• Online (minor traffic citations only)
• By Money Order - mail to Municipal Court, P.O. Box 299, Gulf Shores, AL 36547-0299.
• In person - Gulf Shores Municipal Court Office or in court

To plead not guilty and request a trial date you must appear in court on your assigned court date.

Your court date is listed at the bottom left of each traffic citation (ticket) by the citing officer. You must pay the ticket by this court date if a charge payable prior to court or you must appear in court on that date or have it legally continued. No trials are held on the initial appearance or arraignment date on your citation.

All payments of fines, court costs, and/or restitution is expected at the time you appear in court.
