Background on the Meyer Park Improvement Project:
The goal of the Meyer Park Improvement Project was to improve and reconfigure the existing Meyer Park playground area. The project included replacing the playground, pouring new sidewalks with benches and re-sodding open areas near the pavilion and restrooms. The park also features new recycling containers, as part of the City-wide recycling initiative.
“We are very pleased with the outcome of the Meyer Park Improvement Project,” Recreation & Cultural Affairs Assistant Director Matt Young said. “Our primary focus was to provide a safe and enjoyable area for our kids to play. With these new updates, we hope that more of our residents and visitors will embrace Meyer Park and all it has to offer.”
Meyer Park is located in the Waterway Village District at 400 East 22nd Avenue. In addition to the playground area, the park features horseshoe pits and open grass fields with plenty of room for recreation and activities.
