City Council Work Session Meeting - May 16

The Gulf Shores City Council Work Session meeting, also known as a Committee of the Whole meeting, will be held on Monday, May 16, at 4 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 1905 West 1st Street.

This meeting is open to public attendance. Questions and comments will be taken in person at the meeting. Meetings will also be streamed live via Facebook for viewing only.

Environmental/Grants Coordinator – RESTORE Project
Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability (Eco Center) Phase II (Construction) Grant Sub-Recipient Award Acceptance and Execution - Authorize Mayor to accept the award and execute Sub-Recipient Grant Agreement Amendments with ADCNR for the construction phase of the Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability Project in an amount not to exceed $12,409,728.

Donation and Transfer of 37 acres of Real Property – 
Callaway North Subdivision Parcel B – Accept the donation and transfer of real
property from Coastal Land Properties LLC and authorize the Mayor to execute all
documents necessary to effect the transfer of the property and otherwise acknowledge the charitable contribution.

Purchase Authorization for Osprey Cove Property
Authorize the Mayor to negotiate, accept and execute a purchase contract to 23+ acres located on Bon Secour Bay for $800,000 plus closing costs (estimated to be $50,000) for the purpose of conservation and environmental education programs in partnership with Gulf Shores City Schools and the Gulf Coast Center for Ecotourism & Sustainability.

Authorize the Mayor to execute an agreement between the City and PerfectMind, Inc. to extend contract for recreation management software services (registration, memberships, etc).
