Cultural Center - Auditorium

The Cultural Center Auditorium features 9,478 square feet perfectly suited to host your next large event. The facility can provide meeting space to businesses, civic organizations and residents of the City of Gulf Shores. The facility may be used as a meeting space and/or congruent with the Cultural Center Gymnasium when both facilities are rented to the same organization. The facility may be used by businesses for staff meetings or on a once per year basis for informational seminars.

Cultural Center Auditorium Capacity and Rates: 

The Cultural Center Auditorium holds up to 400 people theater style. Below you can view more information the rates offered at the Cultural Center.

Commercial Rate - $1,200.00 Per day
The commercial rate applies to any event where money is charged for attendance and/or where any type of business is solicited. Such events may include, but are not limited to:

  • educational seminars
  • dance recitals
  • beauty pageants
  • real estate expos
  • corporate conventions
  • concerts
General Rate - $900.00 Per day
The general rate applies to any event that is social or civic in nature. Such events may include, but are not limited to: 

  • banquets
  • social conventions
  • birthday parties
  • wedding receptions
  • holiday gatherings
Resident Rate - $500.00 Per day
The resident rate applies to any event that is social or civic in nature, in which case, the individual or business resided in the corporate limits of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The renter must be able to provide proof of residency to receive rate. Acceptable proof of residency includes:

  • copy of lease
  • valid driver's license
  • recent utility bill 
  • voter registration
  • valid business license
All rates include: 

  • 400 theatre style seating
  • basic lighting
  • adjacent breakout room/space
  • basic PA
  • staff member on duty

Additional Information: 

Other rental items are available upon request. Additional fees may apply. Overtime may be purchased at a rate of $75 per hour but must run consecutively along with the 8-hour window. There is a $300 damage deposit due at the time of signing, which is not included in any of the base fees.
