The Gulf Shores Police Department is comprised of fifty-one (51) full time employees, serving a population of approximately 7,000. We are a major tourist destination causing our population to swell in the spring and summer months to well over 25,000 during any given week, and upwards of 75,000 to 100,000 on weekends. We place a great deal of emphasis on providing high quality community oriented police services to our citizens and visitors. We are a goal-oriented, proactive police department, commited to the enhancement of the quality of life that our residents and visitors have come to expect.
