Oil Spill Reporting
National Response Center
The United States Coast Guard has begun transitioning its monitoring and reporting process to the National Response Center (NRC) reporting system. This is the same way pollution was reported to the Coast Guard prior to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

While oil washing ashore is minimal, it is imperative that the public understands and engages in this reporting process to help to insure that our coastline sustains its pristine reputation.

Residents and visitors should report any oil deposits or tar balls found along our coast to the National Response Center by calling 1-800-424-8802 or by visiting their website.
