The City of Gulf Shores invites you to join us each month as we explore the Gulf Coast with a variety of exciting trips and events. Whether you're exploring our natural resources by water, relaxing on a sunset cruise, or attending a show at the world-renowned Saenger Theatre, you're sure to experience the Gulf Coast in a way you never have before. 

So, what are you waiting for? Join us this month and take advantage of all of the fun you've been missing! 

Pickleball: October 3rd, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th & 31st 
Join us on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.  at the Cultural Center Gymnasium for Pickleball. This is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. There are member/non-member rates. Members of the David L. Bodenhamer Center are free. Non-members are required to purchase a $5 day pass. 


Bingo: October 4th, 11th & 25th
Join us for  BINGO every Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Cultural Center and play for the chance to win prizes! Complimentary coffee, water and snacks will be served. This event is FREE. 

Get Wild - Camping 101: October 6th - 7th  
Join the Gulf Shores Recreation Department for Camping 101 on Friday, October 6 - Saturday, October 7. Participants will learn camping basics, participate in team building games, drum circle and fireside tales. The cost to participate is $25 per tent which includes assembled tent, food and drinks. Spaces are limited so register today by calling 251-968-9813.

National Night Out: October 10th
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Join us from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Pelican Place as the Gulf Shores Police Department hosts National Night Out. 

Halloween Bash & Guest Speaker: October 18th 
Dylan Tucker from Fort Morgan Historical Site will discussing Fort Morgan and the Battle of Mobile Bay. There will be complimentary coffee and snacks. Afterwards join us for our Halloween Social. There will be games, raffles and a costume contest! The menu features “finger” foods. To sign-up call 251-968-9818. Cost is $5/ person, no dish required. 

Coast Riders: October 21st 
Join us for a fun informative bike ride along the beautiful trails of the Gulf Coast. Learn about bike maintenance, gears and changing flat tires. The ride will start at 8 a.m. at Sims Park and end at Meyers Park (1.2 miles). Registration is required. Register at the David L. Bodenhamer Center or at the Cultural Center. 

Powder Puff Mechanics: October 21st 
This program is designed for  women and teenage girls to learn the basics of auto mechanics in an unintimidating environment. Cost is $10 per class. Class will be held at the Cultural Center at 10 s.m. This class will focus on the fluids and filters, changing lights, wiper blades, belts and cleaning. 

Waterway Village Fall Block Party - October 28th 
The Special Events Division will host a Fall Block Party at Meyer Park from 2 - 8 p.m.  This free event will feature games, costume contests and an outdoor movie.
