The City of Gulf Shores will host a Coastal Community Camp Day on Wednesday, March 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gulf Shores Elementary School.
“Our goal is to provide members of our community with an opportunity to learn about all of the youth camps our area has to offer,” said Amanda Deckard, Programs Coordinator. “The great thing about this event is that it's a free, one-stop-shop for summer camp fun.”
According to Deckard, at least a dozen camps from around the area will be in attendance including the City’s Strengthening Potential through Arts, Recreation and Culture (SPARC) Summer Camps which is based out of the Gulf Shores Cultural Center.
SPARC Summer Camps are open to children who have completed kindergarten and are at least 5 years old through age 11. SPARC summer camp will be offered over the course of 11 weeks from May 30 – August 18. Registration for SPARC summer camp will be held April 8 – 21. Parents may register online or at the Cultural Center beginning April 10.
