The City of Gulf Shores, Mayor Robert Craft, Gulf Shores City Council and our community are honored to announce Sergeant Major Bryan Battaglia as the Master of Ceremonies for a Salute to the Services on Monday, July 4th. Salute to the Services will honor and salute the men and women of America’s Armed Forces and their families. Sergeant Major Battaglia is the former Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the senior ranking Noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Armed Forces. In this role, Battaglia served as the principal military advisor to the Chairman and the Secretary of Defense on all matters involving joint and combined total force integration, utilization, health of the force and joint development for all enlisted personnel and its families. Salute to the Services will take place at the City of Gulf Shores Main Public Beach at 7 p.m. The public beach is located at 100 Gulf Shores Parkway. For more information, contact the Special Events Division at 251-968-1172.
