Welcome to the Gulf Shores Fitness Programs and Classes page. The David L. Bodenhamer Recreation Center and the Gulf Shores Cultural Center provide year-round fitness programs and classes suited to fit your specific fitness needs.

Bodenhamer Recreation - Fitness Center Hours

  • Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: 1 p.m. - 6 p.m

Cultural Center - Fitness Studio Hours

  • Monday through Friday: 6 a.m - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 6 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

RSVP Classes

Priority reservations for RSVP classes are available to all Full-members 72 hours in advance. Reservations are also available to all other membership types and non-members 24 hours in advance of class starting.  Available classes include a variety of Barre, Yoga, Indoor Cycling, TRX and more.

Drop-In Floor Aerobic Classes

Available  classes include a variety of Zumba, yoga, Pilates, combo step and more.

Couch To 5k

The Couch to 5K training series, geared for absolute beginners, will get you from the couch to a 5K in only 8 weeks! Instructor Holly Cade has the plan to see you through the finish line! Congratulations to all of our Winter 2016 race finishers! Our current C25K class will conclude at the Sweetheart Run. Expedition Fitness Series

The Expedition Fitness Series is a free themed fitness program that challenges registrants to climb/swim/walk/run/bike the distance of historical landmarks. Our Summer 2017 challenge is here! Expedition Fitness : English Channel challenges you to swim 21 miles across the channel in 8 weeks. If you succeed, great prizes may await you on the other side! REGISTER TODAY!
